Free Muiden repair morning: fix an appliance, clothes or bike together

On 25 July from 10:00 to 12:00, De Kazerne in Muiden helps with clothes, furniture, electrical items, bicycles and toys. Arrive with the item by 11:30; repairs are free with a voluntary tip jar.

• Martine Postma started the first Repair Café in Amsterdam in 2009 and the movement now counts more than 2,500 locations. Its purpose is to preserve repair skills and extend product life, not replace professional specialists.
• Muiden volunteers cover textiles, furniture, electrics, bikes and toys. Success depends on fault, parts and safety; bring the power cable, accessories, manual and a precise symptom instead of only saying “it stopped”.
• Groene Kijk op Onze Wijk runs at the same time: Wattnu handles energy questions and GroenBlauw Loket advises on gardens and green facades. One broken item and one energy bill can be checked in one visit.

Hokimi field note: Remove private data and photograph the model plate first. If a special part is needed, the volunteer can at least identify it so the wrong replacement is not bought and abandoned.
