Blixembosch community festival: how a six-event contest makes neighbours a team

Three days built by local hands

📅 Valid until 2026-08-23🕒 Published 2026-07-22🏷️ Category Local Kids

Deal Highlights

The protagonist is not a hired celebrity but neighbourhood teams. A quiz shares local memory; a zeskamp adds costumes, parade and cooperation, briefly turning a park into a village of known names.

Details

From 21 to 23 August, Familiespektakel Blixembosch returns to Aanschotpark in Eindhoven. Friday brings BlixemQuizzz and Saturday’s zeskamp runs from 10:00 to 17:00 with food and family activities.

  • Local volunteers and sponsors build the festival, so residents are organisers as well as spectators. Each volunteered hour changes how much the park can offer.
  • On 22 August captains report at 10:45, the team parade starts at 11:15, games at 12:00 and prizes around 15:45. Originality and cooperation matter alongside speed.
  • A bouncy castle serves children up to six during the zeskamp, but team registration is closed. Non-competitors can watch and join public elements, not enter a team at the gate.
  • Stands sell snacks, sandwiches, shoarma, sweets and ice cream. Check the full schedule, payment, safety and first-aid information before choosing how long young children stay.

Hokimi field note: To meet the community, volunteer for an hour or actively support one team. A specific role makes an unfamiliar park feel local more effectively than passing the food stands.
