Amsterdam Museum holiday workshops: seven artists, seven ways to see a city

From 25 July to 15 August on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Amsterdam Museum runs Dutch-language art workshops for ages eight to twelve from 13:00 to 14:30. Each costs EUR5.

• On 25 July Marlou Fernanda uses music for intuitive drawing; on 29 July Gio Georgescu helps children design and bind a magazine, moving from sensation to sequential storytelling.
• On 1 August Anouschka Boswijk turns cardboard into a moving parade, while Bent Lochtenberg uses recovered material for a mayoral chain on 5 August, joining civic ritual to reuse.
• Later sessions cover wire-and-bead insects, textile patchwork and linocut. These are not repeated lessons, so choose by colour, structure, fabric or printmaking interest.
• Instruction is in Dutch. Amsterdam in Motion has a separate EUR5 family visit; confirm the child can follow independently and bring a bag for wet ink, glue or dimensional work.
