Rotterdam Caribbean & Afro Festival: twenty-plus sounds in one park

On 1 August from 13:00 to 22:30, Rotterdam Caribbean & Afro Festival fills Zuiderpark with more than twenty acts and a Kids Corner. Ages 3-11 cost EUR3.50 and standard adult tickets EUR14.50.

• The line-up includes Cache Royale, Gio, 2-Remember and Passion Latina among live acts and DJs. Multiple sounds reward comparison instead of waiting only for the final name.
• Food stands connect music to taste and the Kids Corner gives children their own activity. Under-twos enter free, but parents remain responsible for children throughout.
• Entry includes one reusable-cup token. Return a cup or token at the bar or pay half a token extra; outside food, aerosols and professional interchangeable-lens cameras are restricted.
• Re-entry is not allowed. Door tickets rise to EUR19.50 and can sell out, so agree the whole family’s arrival and departure before anyone goes back to the car.
