Dutch Language Café The Hague: make Dutch practice genuinely social

From 22 to 25 July, Dutch Language Café at Herengracht 13A in The Hague lists board games, chat moments, shared study and Language Exchange. Choose the level and ticket on the event page first.

• The community café opened in 2024 around a practical idea: put Dutch back inside everyday activities. The 22 July board-game night makes players follow rules, take turns and negotiate.
• On 23 July there are short chat moments and Language Exchange options. Some welcome beginners or non-Dutch speakers, but member, visitor and taalcoach tickets vary by event.
• The value is less fear of speaking before a sentence feels perfect. A game or shared task creates useful repetition and gives people a topic and face to recognise next time.
• Read the event listing for level, time, ticket type and capacity. Do not assume every activity is free, and do not treat Language Exchange as a formal Dutch course.
