Opmeer’s 115th agricultural show puts a day trip back on the land

The protagonists are the long relationships between keepers and animals. Judging is not simply about appearance: body, health, movement and generations of practical farm knowledge become visible to the public. On 3 August, cattle, horses, sheep, machinery, competitions and children’s activities cover roughly ten hectares for a close look at North Holland farming.
