Details

Muzee connects Scheveningen’s fishing culture, clothing and coastal ecology. Children can create with paper, fabric and knots indoors, or read the tide line through real living things with a museum educator on the beach. On 29 July children can join the free Zeelab, while sessions from 30 July take small groups to Patagonia Beach to find shells, crabs, seaweed and other North Sea clues.

  • Zeelab runs 13:00–16:00 on 29 July; children through age twelve enter free and normally do not reserve.
  • The beach expedition is for ages four plus, including 30 July 10:00–11:30, and costs €7.50 per child.
  • Beach groups are limited to ten children; accompanying adults do not need a ticket.
  • In severe weather, the beach programme moves to the museum on Neptunusstraat.

Treat this as a small summer story with a clear setting, not simply another pin on a map. Times, ticket types and practical arrangements can still change. Reopen the official page before booking or leaving, and allow some margin for transport, weather and food so the day stays enjoyable.

Hokimi field note: Choose indoors or beach by the forecast: pack water shoes and a small towel outside, or an artwork bag for Zeelab.
