Details

Polderfeest is powered by participation rather than a distant stage. Running races, village games, stalls and music carry local memory into De Kwakel’s 450th anniversary year, making residents part of the story instead of merely an audience. From 29 July to 2 August, the programme moves from a Brazilian food evening and children’s afternoon to team games, live music and a dedicated family Sunday.

  • The children’s afternoon begins at 13:00 on 31 July, with more children’s activities from 14:00 on 1 August.
  • Family Day runs 13:00–18:00 on 2 August; check the official ticket page for each part.
  • Purchases on the field use event tokens, available with cash or card.
  • Cars use the KDO parking area; bicycle parking is along Evenementenlaan.

Treat this as a small summer story with a clear setting, not simply another pin on a map. Times, ticket types and practical arrangements can still change. Reopen the official page before booking or leaving, and allow some margin for transport, weather and food so the day stays enjoyable.

Hokimi field note: For younger children, choose Friday afternoon or Sunday; save late concerts and alcohol wristband rules for adult plans.
