Kranenburgh’s sounding masks: children wear Lisa Konno’s art into motion

Museum Kranenburgh runs Kleurrijke maskers in Studio C, Bergen, on 19 July from 13:30 to 15:00. Tickets are €8.50 per child aged 5-12; book online before the limited workshop fills.

• Artist Lisa Konno, born in 1992, makes Figure from costume, accessories and sound; art leaves the wall and changes as a body moves, collides and rings.
• Children use cardboard, beads and other materials to decide whether a mask whispers or rattles loudly, then bring every work alive through collective motion and sound.
• The related exhibition pairs Konno’s wearable installation with Paul Kooiker’s photography around identity, fashion and looking; tickets are non-refundable and under-fives need another activity.
