Build a tiny house at Museum Het Schip

Museum Het Schip is itself a story about housing, craft and an ideal neighbourhood. This workshop makes its expressive brickwork, towers and social history tangible by asking young visitors to design and build rather than simply listen. On 1 August, children study Amsterdam School architecture and then turn clay bricks and building ideas into a structure of their own.

• The workshop runs 11:15–12:45 on 1 August; capacity follows the official booking page.
• Instruction is mainly in Dutch, but the hands-on format keeps the language barrier manageable.
• Wear clothes that can handle clay and bring a bag large enough for the finished work.
• The museum is in Spaarndammerbuurt and can be reached by bus from Amsterdam Centraal.

Treat this as a small summer story with a clear setting, not simply another pin on a map. Times, ticket types and practical arrangements can still change. Reopen the official page before booking or leaving, and allow some margin for transport, weather and food so the day stays enjoyable.
