Tristar PZ-9131 hot pot and grill at EUR 45.99: two hours for four people costs at most EUR 0.97 in power

Four friends are coming over for hot pot at the weekend, and the table is close to a socket. The Tristar PZ-9131 hot pot and grill set is EUR 45.99 on bol.com, rated 4.1 from 38 reviews, in stock and sold by bol itself; the EUR 63.99 on the page is Tristar's recommended price, not a struck-through discount, and this page does not count the gap as a saving. Tristar's own site lists 1800 W, a 3-litre pot, a 36 cm diameter and a 0.9 m cord.

Tristar is the small-appliance brand of Tristar Europe BV, whose manufacturer address on bol.com is in Tilburg; its brand page says quality should not be a luxury and aims at affordable appliances without needless features. This one has a 24 cm grill plate in the middle and a ring around it split into two sections for broth, oil or cheese, with a thermostat that goes up to 220 degrees. You can work out the power yourself: maximum cost = 1.8 kW x hours switched on x your price per kWh. At the January 2026 average of about EUR 0.27 per kWh published by Milieu Centraal, two hours at full power is 1.8 x 2 x 0.27 = EUR 0.97, or EUR 0.24 each for four people; that is a ceiling based on full power.

Grilling pork belly in the middle while vegetables and fish balls cook in the ring is the use this layout suits best; the limit is broth: 3 litres / 4 people = 0.75 litres each, and the two sections of the ring may hold different broths, so a bigger group means topping up all evening. The pot cannot go in the dishwasher, and of the 38 reviews, 3 give one star and 2 give two stars, which is not a large sample.
