On 15–16 August, twelve leading teams play at Agorahof while visitors can try sports through TeamNL activities.
What you need to know
Agorahof has no sea, yet on 15 and 16 August Lelystad builds a sand centre court in the middle of town. Twelve leading Dutch beach-volleyball teams arrive for the city’s first Eredivisie Beach stop, moving from pools and quarter-finals on Saturday to semi-finals and finals on Sunday. The useful family angle is that children are not restricted to watching professionals from a distance. The Summer Parade also brings TeamNL Sport Experience activities where different ages can try sporting challenges. An exposed square, heat, match delays and crowds can change the day, so a focused two-hour visit may work better than forcing a full programme.
- The tournament runs on 15 and 16 August.
- Twelve top teams compete and spectator entry is free.
- Saturday begins with pools and quarter-finals; Sunday brings the finals.
- TeamNL activities and entertainment have their own daily timetable.
