On 15 August, RiverBeats gathers twelve years of volunteers, artists and local memories for its announced final edition.
What you need to know
Some festivals prove their ambition by adding more stages; RiverBeats gives this year meaning by calling it the last. What began twelve years ago as a small idea grew through artists, volunteers and friends in Wessem, and its tenth edition on 15 August is also the closing chapter. Gates open at 15:00 and music continues until 01:30 the next morning, making the event both a party and a community farewell. “One Last Ride” is therefore more than a slogan: the people between the performances are part of the story. Visitors under sixteen may attend with an adult who can show they are eighteen or older, while the NIX18 alcohol policy remains in force.
- The event starts at 15:00 on 15 August and ends at 01:30 on 16 August.
- The organiser presents the tenth edition as RiverBeats’ final chapter.
- Under-16s need supervision by an adult who can prove they are 18+.
- The site is Hagenbroekerweg 2; outside food, drink and glass are prohibited.
Hokimi field note: If you know local regulars, leave room for their memories between sets; this farewell is built as much by people as by sound.
