This 68-page Etos WAUW! DEALS book runs from 21 September to 4 October 2026, and one piece of arithmetic explains almost every block in it. Buy-one-get-one and two-plus-two both land at half price, two-plus-three at 40 per cent of the original, second item ha…

What you need to know

The toothpaste is nearly empty and the shower gel is half gone, and you want to restock the bathroom in one trip. This 68-page Etos book, valid from 21 September to 4 October 2026, is covered in pink badges: 1+1 gratis, 2+2 gratis, 2+3 gratis, 2e halve prijs, 2e artikel 40% korting. They look like five different offers. They are one division sum.

Hold on to this: the badge states the mechanism, not the discount you will actually get. Take five and pay for two and you land at 40 per cent of the original. Take four and pay for two and you land at half. Second item half price spreads to 75 per cent across the pair, and second item 40 per cent off spreads to 80 per cent. The printed numbers agree throughout: Oral-B Junior Stitch toothpaste 75 ml goes from 17,95 for five tubes to 7,18; Dove Men+Care anti-transpirant spray 150 ml from 21,96 for four to 10,98; NIVEA Skin Glow micellar water 400 ml from 19,98 for two to 9,99; Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser 236 ml from 26,98 for two to 20,23, which is exactly three quarters.

Three personal-care lines show this arithmetic most clearly:

  • Axe, Dove en Vaseline bad, douche, hand en body 400 ml at € 9,22 with 60% KORTING. This block pools shower, hand and body care from three brands, and 400 ml is a household bottle rather than a travel size, so a family shower gets through one in a month. Reaching the required count here is realistic, and whatever is left keeps in the cupboard for months.
  • Oral-B m.u.v. Clinical, Professional en elektrisch poetsen at € 7,18 with 2+3 gratis. Toothpaste is the one thing in the bathroom that never spoils and always gets used, and five tubes work out near 1,44 each. Read the exclusions before you reach the till: Clinical, Professional and the electric-brushing range are outside this block and will not trigger the price.
  • Fa en palmolive bad en douche 2 stuks at € 3,00. Two bottles for three euro is the lowest threshold in the book and suits anyone who already has stock and only wants to top up. It carries no percentage badge, so it is simply a two-item price with no counting and no need to reach five.

The sum is the action price divided by the number of items you will really finish. Five tubes at 7,18 come to 1,44 each if all five get used. In a two-person household that will not finish five tubes inside two years, the real unit cost stays at 3,59, which is the shelf price. Run the same division with your own household: action price divided by the number you will genuinely finish, then compare that with the tube you normally buy. One more thing this two-week book hides: single-day prices. The page marked DAG DEALS applies on Friday 25 September only, with five Colgate tubes at 7,78 instead of 19,45, NIVEA Double Effect eye make-up remover at 3,59 instead of 8,19 and Loving Blends shampoo 300 ml at 2,47 instead of 6,19.

Every block carries a line saying the action price can vary per product, so the amounts shown are examples rather than guarantees. Multi-item offers normally have to be completed in one transaction, several blocks are marked OP=OP while stocks last, and the Mijn Etos blocks require a signed-in loyalty account.
