BiebBoys Summer Challenge: turn one book into a child’s expedition map

This summer, participating libraries and schools offer the BiebBoys Zomerchallenge to older primary pupils. Parents should ask the local library whether the free Expeditieboek and supporting activities are available.

• Kees and Joran use the BiebBoys video world to frame libraries as an expedition. The 2026 book mixes reading, language and creative missions instead of prescribing one title and a long silent session.
• Official figures for the previous edition reported more than 46,000 children through over 60 library organisations. The useful mechanism is a long holiday divided into small, finishable actions.
• Each library or school decides distribution, stock and local events. Check its own agenda before travelling rather than treating an old campaign poster as confirmation.
