Amsterdam-Prague night train: turn a hotel night into the journey

Sleep aboard, wake in Prague

🕒 Published 2026-07-21🏷️ Category Recommended

Deal Highlights

The route’s story happens while you sleep: board in the Netherlands in the evening, let cities and borders recede outside and wake in central Prague without an airport transfer.

Details

European Sleeper sells direct Amsterdam-Prague night-train seats from EUR79.99, plus couchettes and sleeper cabins. It suits an advance autumn break or travellers who prefer not to fly.

  • One train ranges from seats to shared couchettes and made-up sleeper cabins. Each step buys more privacy and rest; the real question is how much energy you need on arrival.
  • Travelling the distance overnight and arriving centrally can replace a hotel night and airport transfer, but a seat is not automatically a good night’s sleep. Families should compare a private compartment.
  • Bicycle transport is temporarily unavailable in summer 2026, so old travel reports are unsafe planning. Recheck luggage, compartment occupancy and berth layout before payment.
  • EUR79.99 is a seat from-price; sleepers on popular dates cost more or sell first. Set group size and minimum sleep standard before comparing the total and arrival-day plan.

Hokimi field note: Do not fill arrival day with three timed attractions. The train can save time and a hotel night, but it cannot guarantee everyone slept well; keep the first morning light.
