This ALDI issue prints its own window on the cover, Geldig vanaf Ma. 31.08. - Zo. 06.09., across 76 pages, under a banner reading tot 56% goedkoper. The cover promotions each arrive at their number differently, so the small print is worth reading before the large print.

The cola is the clearest case. Coca-Cola regular or zero in two litres is 1,69 euro, with a yellow box beside it reading ELDERS 3.15. A footnote states where that comparison comes from: the price at Jumbo online on 11 August 2026. So the 3,15 is not what another chain charges today, it is what one competitor charged online three weeks ago. To judge the saving, subtract 1,69 from what you normally pay for two litres, not from 3,15.

The other two carry conditions of their own. Red pointed peppers XXL 500 g at 1,79 euro are marked 56% goedkoper and chicken fillet XXL 900 g at 9,49 euro is marked 13%, both printed OP=OP, while stocks last. The asterisk on that 56% explains it is measured against the per-unit content of the regular packaging, so it is the gap after converting an XXL pack to a unit price rather than 56% off the same pack. The Ambiano rechargeable blender at 9,99 euro carries a date condition too: vanaf Wo. 02.09., so it is not on the shelf on Monday. A further footnote states that some cover imagery was generated with AI.
