Eligible WIA, WAO, WAZ or Wajong recipients receive a net €226.28 automatically with September payments. Debt-support arrangements can change where the money arrives first.
What you need to know
When people read “an extra €226.28 in September”, the first reaction may be to search for an application. UWV says the 2026 disability allowance is automatic for eligible recipients: people entitled on 1 July to WIA, WAO or WAZ and assessed at least 35% disabled, or entitled to Wajong, normally do not apply. It is paid with the September benefit and appears on a separate statement in Mijn UWV. “Automatic”, however, does not guarantee an identical bank route. When UWV pays a benefit through a statutory WSNP debt administrator, the allowance goes there too. Municipal voluntary debt support cannot simply retain it unless arrangements permit that. Hokimi treats the announcement as a verification point, not money to spend early. Confirm the 1 July status, payment route and September statement before assigning the amount to bills or savings.
- The 2026 net amount is €226.28 and eligible recipients do not apply.
- Eligibility is based on WIA, WAO, WAZ or Wajong status on 1 July.
- Payment comes with the September benefit and a separate statement.
- WSNP or other debt arrangements may alter the route of payment.
Hokimi field note: Do not use unfamiliar application links in messages; open Mijn UWV directly. If no separate statement appears by the end of September, or debt support handles the money differently from your agreement, contact UWV or the adviser.
