Ten local artists map the region

Rain during a city trip often pushes everyone towards the same familiar shopping centre. Expo Bart offers a more local indoor answer. Support Your Locals places ten artists from the Nijmegen-Arnhem region and different career stages in one exhibition, turning “local art” from a souvenir label into a map of what is being made now. The show closes on 2 August and is free from Thursday to Sunday, 12:00–17:00. Artists include Barbara Walbrun, Daan Mulder, Kerim Safa and Ming Morssinkhof. It works well as a one-hour cultural detour. Note the two names that stay with you and use them to continue exploring the region after the visit.

What you need to know

• The exhibition runs to 2 August, Thursday–Sunday 12:00–17:00.
• Entry is free and ten regional artists participate.
• The venue is at Waalplein 6 in the NYMA area.
• This is the final weekend; do not assume an extension.
