A park where new voices meet

A finished book can sit quietly on a shelf, or it can become the opening line of a conversation with a stranger. From 14:00 on 1 August, Writers Unlimited joins FFÛH, Het Zwarte Schaap and Ik Spreek for the first Woordenvol at Zuiderparktheater. Poetry, an open mic, live music, food and a book swap share one outdoor programme. The point is not literary expertise but stepping outside your usual language bubble and hearing who else is writing in the city. Admission is €5. It suits spoken-word followers, Dutch learners and anyone curious about local makers. If you want the microphone rather than only the audience seat, check registration and timing before arrival.
