Royal Toone Traditional Puppet Show
Brussels puppets in a 1696 attic
Details
Down a lane beside Grand-Place, a 1696 house hides Brussels’ last operating traditional puppet theatre, an adult folk stage whose Toone lineage reaches back to around 1830.
- One Toone performer voices every character while several puppeteers turn classic theatre into distinctly Brussels storytelling.
- The current summer production is a parody of Gounod’s Faust, with regular performances around 20:30–22:30.
- Tickets start at €20; shows are normally in French unless stated otherwise, and payment is usually cash just before the show.
Before booking: confirm the production, language, suitability for children and payment method for your chosen date.
