Record & CD Fair at Rotterdam Ahoy on 26 September: 120+ stands, under-16s free with an adult

On Saturday 26 September 2026 more than 120 stands fill Hall 2 of Rotterdam Ahoy with vinyl, CDs, DVDs and music memorabilia. Doors open at 10:00 and the fair runs until 17:00. This is the most useful kind of wet-weather plan: everything is indoors, there is no timed entry to commit to, and digging through crates needs no Dutch at all. Sleeves, years and catalogue numbers are things you read for yourself, so someone who arrived in the country last month starts from the same line as a local collector. A ticket bought online is EUR 8.50 including service fees, while the same ticket at the door is EUR 10. Children up to and including 15 get in free when an adult comes with them.

• Work out your own group: the online total is (people aged 16 and over x EUR 8.50), and anyone 15 or younger is EUR 0. Two adults with two teenagers get in for EUR 17.00; the same four at the door pay EUR 20.00, because only the adults ever pay. The gap is a fixed EUR 1.50 per paying person, so four adults buying ahead keep EUR 6.00.
• A hundred and twenty stands across seven hours needs a plan. From 10:00 to 17:00 is 420 minutes, so covering every stand once leaves an average of 3.5 minutes each. Regular buyers do it the other way round: one fast lap reading only the genre signs, pick five to ten stands worth the time, then go back and dig properly with the hours that are left.
• Bring cash. The organiser, Record Planet, states that not every exhibitor has a mobile card machine and recommends cash, which is exactly where people used to paying by card for everything in the Netherlands get stuck. The free entry runs up to and including age 15 and only with an adult, so a secondary-school child costs nothing but cannot go alone.
• Compare parking before you drive. The Ahoy car park costs EUR 21 for the event day, or EUR 20 booked online, which is more than twice a ticket. The alternative Ahoy itself suggests is P+R Slinge, one metro stop from Zuidplein: continue by public transport on an OV-chipkaart and parking is free, although the venue notes this currently does not apply when you travel with OVpay. From the Zuidplein metro and bus stop it is about a five-minute walk.
