Waste Me has two public shows left: child seats are €15 flat, adult zones differ by €14.50

Five performers climb out of a mountain of waste into a world where everything can be thrown away and replaced: objects, relationships and eventually identities too. This is Waste Me by the Finnish-born choreographer Cecilia Moisio, a 65-minute physical dance piece with no interval, staged in the Rabozaal of Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam and recommended for ages 13 and up. For anyone who has recently moved here and whose Dutch is not yet up to spoken drama, a movement-led piece like this asks far less of your language than a text play does, and the venue lists the languages as Dutch and English. Only two public performances remain, Saturday at 19:30 and Sunday at 15:30; a third slot is a school performance and is not sold to the public.

• How the pricing splits: the child rate ignores seating zones and is €15.00 across all four bands. Adult seats follow the zone: €23.00 in Zone 3, €32.50 in Zone 2, €35.00 in Zone 1 and €37.50 in Zone 1+. The cheapest and dearest adult seat for the same performance therefore differ by €14.50.
• Work out your own combination: one adult with one child costs €15 + €23 = €38.00 at the low end and €15 + €37.50 = €52.50 at the top. Two adults in Zone 3 come to €46.00, and the same pair in Zone 1+ comes to €75.00. Decide what a closer seat is worth to you before you pick the zone.
• Who this suits: newcomers and students who want contemporary dance without a language barrier, and households with a teenager of 13 or older looking for an evening they can share without spending it all in Dutch. Sixty-five minutes without an interval also means you are not out until late.
• Check before booking: the two public performances sit at different times of day, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. The piece deals with consumption and the body through repetitive movement and confronting imagery, which will not suit every viewer, and the same venue runs other programmes in the same week, so take care not to select the school slot.

Hokimi field note: with a piece that runs only twice, the zone gap is usually worth more thought than the date.
