What you need to know
On a weeknight you want to feed a family of four for under ten euro. This eight-page PLUS booklet, valid from 22 to 29 September 2026, is built around exactly that. To be clear: this is not a discount flyer but a list of standing low prices. Every line carries the Laagblijvers badge, with no former price and no percentage, and even the red peppers on the cover at 0,89 each are marked always low.
The booklet is laid out as four dinners, each with a price per person based on four people: spaghetti with a creamy tomato-cheese sauce, leek and mince at 2,20, quick nasi with chicken thigh and satay sauce at 2,35, crispy chicken fajita wraps at 2,25 and chili con carne at 2,35, with a breakfast page at the end. The pasta page lists PLUS spaghetti 500 gram at 0,45 and PLUS mixed mince 300 gram at 3,49 among its ingredients.
The three highlighted lines are base ingredients that return in several of these dishes:
- PLUS Gebakken uitjes 150 g at € 1,19. Crispy fried onions go on the nasi and the pasta alike, and a 150 gram bag lasts several meals; closed tightly it keeps in the cupboard, making it the most durable of the ingredients here.
- PLUS Passata gezeefde tomaten 500 g at € 0,71. Sieved tomatoes are the base of both the pasta sauce and the chili, and one 500 gram carton is about right for a pot for four, so keeping two spare means dinner without an extra trip.
- Rode uien 1 kg at € 1,19. A kilo of red onions feeds the pasta, the fajitas and the chili, keeps two to three weeks somewhere cool, and cooking two or three of these dishes in a week uses most of the bag.

The sum is the price per person times the number of people, plus the part of each pack you do not use. For the pasta, four people come to 2,20 times 4, or 8,80 euro. At the till, though, you pay for whole packs, and neither 500 gram of spaghetti nor a kilo of onions goes in one meal, so the first shop costs more than 8,80 and the rest carries over. Only when you cook two or more of these dishes in a week does the cost per person approach the printed figure.
The small print says the per-person price is based on the quantity the recipe actually uses, and prices may change. The flyer gives no stock per branch either, so use the ingredient lists as a shopping list and swap in a similar product if one is missing.
