Inside Leiden’s old observatory with one good question

A daytime observatory visit is not mainly a promise to see a planet. It shows how a nineteenth-century science building joined a dome, telescope, measurement and human patience. Forty-five minutes is manageable for children, yet enough to turn the abstract universe into machinery, stairs and habits of careful observation.
