Free family summer village in Den Haag

For six weeks, Zuiderparktheater becomes a free summer village every Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00–16:00, with play, building, a park library, workshops and performances chosen on arrival. Thursday theatre shows require a separate ticket.

Some summer programmes ask parents to decide the whole day for their children in advance. Zuiderpark Vakantiepark deliberately leaves the choice until arrival. For six weeks, the theatre island at Zuiderparktheater becomes a summer village every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00–16:00. Children can play, build, perform, browse the park library, join a workshop or simply slow down, with the day plan announced on site. Entry to the daytime village is free. Thursday theatre performances, including Carnaval van het Leven, Milky Way and SPLASH!, need a separate ticket, with discounts linked to VakantiePas or Ooievaarspas. The format suits siblings with different ages and interests because no single activity controls the day. Check that day’s programme and weather first, then decide whether a ticketed Thursday show is worth adding.

Free opening is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00–16:00 through 27 August.
