A three-kilometre trail lets children earn a ranger diploma

The adventure starts before travel: children photograph a plant, animal or insect near home, and the day combines everyone’s observation into a nature collage. In the dunes they balance like a dragonfly, move like a caterpillar, feel the ground barefoot and search for small creatures. The route is labelled buggy-friendly, yet the organiser warns of steep stretches and loose sand and says it is not suitable for some physical disabilities. Starts open at 10:00, the final departure is 15:00, parking is paid and a temporary toilet is provided. Hokimi values the chain of noticing more than completing three kilometres quickly.
