The A9 reopens Monday, but one exit does not

For an airport run or a return to Amstelveen, it is easy to save only “open again Monday morning.” The final kilometres are the catch: once the main carriageway returns, a familiar local exit still does not, so an apparently normal route can change near the destination. The weekend closure moves traffic into the new northern sunken carriageway and opens the next construction phase. The south-side Stadshart entry already has a longer restriction, while Ouderkerk’s south-side exit remains unavailable after the weekend. One journey therefore has two different planning periods. The A9 closes from Badhoevedorp to Holendrecht from 20:00 on 11 September until 05:00 on 14 September; the south-side Ouderkerk exit then stays closed through 26 October.
