Taalcafé turns the fear of speaking into three-minute rounds

Newcomers often say they will speak once their Dutch is better, then discover that waiting makes the first conversation harder. Dutch Language Café in The Hague reduces that threshold with structure. On 27 August, participants arrive at 19:30 and mark languages on a sticker, join a featured-language mini-lesson at 19:50, start three-minute speed exchanges at 20:00 and then choose Dutch, English, French, Spanish or other tables. The organiser welcomes all levels. Non-members pay €11, native speakers of the featured language €6 and members join free; snacks and hosted activities are included, drinks are separate.
