Rheden church exhibition: Ans van Breda paints children of the world

Ans van Breda’s free exhibition opens in Rheden’s Dorpskerk every Saturday from 20 June through 12 September, with an additional Open Monumentendag display on 13 September. It suits a quiet rainy-day visit; confirm the church opening before travelling.

• Van Breda began painting in 2003, moved from watercolour to vivid acrylic and now brings oil, pastel and recently discovered jute into one practice.
• Her grandchildren inspired the Wereldkinderen portraits in 2014, turning the idea of a global childhood into individual faces and expressions.
