MRB cut from 1 July · Entrepreneur rate pays half

The Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst) has announced a temporary reduction in Motor Vehicle Tax (MRB) for certain commercial vehicles, effective from July 1, 2026.

• ✓ Eligible vehicles: Vans under the entrepreneur rate will pay half the MRB.
• ✓ Heavy vehicles: Trucks weighing over 12,000 kg will pay EUR0 MRB during this period.
• ✓ Check your payment period: If you pay MRB quarterly, verify if your new payment period starts on or after July 1, 2026.
