Boat in, walk back through tidal woods

The outward boat sees willow woods from water; the return path reads the same landscape through mud and creeks. Changing mode links tide, workers’ history and nature traces. Tidal change is strong here and willow workers once harvested the griend; the hut is an entry into that labour history, not decoration. Biesbosch Eilandtocht rides the open silent boat Sterling through creeks, lands at an original willow-worker hut and returns on foot via the Griendmuseumpad; multiple dates from 8 August, adults €18 and children €13. The same willow woods reveal a different scale from water and path. That is why boat out and walk back is the route’s narrative structure, not transport convenience.
