Details
An alun-alun is more than a market name. In Indonesian towns it is the central square where people meet, eat, talk and share public life. On 18 July, StraatFest brings that idea to Berlijnplein with Kaki Lima stalls, Dutch-Indonesian language connections, snacks, music and Salóme Pieris Collective live.
- Time and place: Saturday 18 July, 16:00-21:00, Berlijnplein 100, Utrecht. Entry is free.
- Best for: friends seeking a cultural weekend plan, families curious about Indonesian food and live-music fans.
- Before you go: the open programme is free. The Nasi Tumpeng workshop and shared dinner is listed at EUR 17.50; check availability first.
Hokimi field note: Do not treat it as only a food stop. Knowing alun-alun as a place to gather makes the evening more meaningful.
