Details
City of Dance takes place in Middelburg on 17 and 18 July. Free Friday opens tonight at no charge, while Saturday day tickets are listed up to €42.50 including fee; check the entrance and timetable before choosing one or both days.
- No single DJ owns Friday: Jody Bernal and Chic Le Freak share the route with street theatre, stilt costumes and The Art of Love installations.
- Visitors can learn scratching and mixing in a DJ workshop, choose among three silent-disco channels or use the make-over booth for face and body paint.
- Saturday changes into a ticketed multi-stage day spanning mainstage, hardstyle and techno; free Friday and paid Saturday are different products, so choose by music rather than the umbrella name.
Hokimi field note: Begin with one participatory activity before the mainstage; after trying a mix yourself, the way a DJ connects two records becomes much easier to hear.
