A new Landal among Betuwe orchards: 39 homes open at July’s end
39 orchard homes open 31 July
Deal Highlights
This is not a theme-park resort story but a slower Betuwe rhythm: orchards and dykes in the morning, a river ride by day and a detached home with large windows at night.
Details
Landal De Wielsche Dreef opens in Eck en Wiel on 31 July with an initial 39 new homes for two to six guests, giving families a late option for an August break inside the Netherlands.
- The park sits among orchards, river dykes and the Betuwe landscape. Its value is starting a walk or cycle ride from the door rather than driving to a paid attraction every day.
- Homes emphasise daylight, natural materials and private space; selected types add a sauna or whirlpool. Larger villas can include an island kitchen, double hob and wine cabinet for group cooking.
- A nature trail introduces children to plants, insects and bees, and bicycles can be rented. That gives a two-night stay content without stacking multiple ticketed outings.
- A newly opened park may still have young landscaping or phased facilities. Check the exact house for beds, bathrooms, wellness, pets and final total; renders are not a promise for every type.
Hokimi field note: Choose morning rides if orchards and dykes are the priority. For a group-cooking weekend, read the kitchen inventory before deciding what pans and ingredients to bring.
