About this restaurant

Da Long Yi in The Hague is built around the shared experience of Sichuan hotpot. Choose a rich spicy butter broth, tomato or mushroom soup, or combine flavours in a divided pot, then add meats, seafood, tofu, vegetables and noodles at your own pace. The lively table-centred format is ideal for groups, family dinners and celebrations, while letting newcomers control both flavour and heat.

What an amazing experience. One of my check list to do. I highly recommend it and don't come with a half full stomach because here you will eat just enough for a decent price and amount of food.

I loved the experience. The food tasted amazing and the ingredients were high quality. Totally will be back again. The only point of improvement is about guiding first timers through the experience as I was a bit confused to begin with.

It was very very good and tasty. The staff was kind and helped us order. When we finished we had some food left and asked for a box to bring it with us and they gave us all of that. They're also halal options for those who are interested. You just have to ask and they'll explain how it works. For the food itself: you can choose up to 3 soup bases and then everything that comes with it so meat, rise, noodles, vegetables and even more. I wouldn't say it's cheap but for the experience and the quality of the food and the taste it's really worth it.

Overall great experience, reservation is needed atleast for Saturdays the place was fully booked with a queue outside. The food and soup bases were delicious! I think this is the best hotpot I have had so far in The Netherlands. The vegetables and meat were of high quality. Pricing seems fair, it's cheaper with more people. Two of us spent 107 Euro total including drinks. Hotpot in NL is a bit expensive. I would have given 5 stars if the clerk didn't ask us to leave early because there are other people waiting. Reservation slots are 2.5 hours but it feels like we got kicked out 2 hours in. Too bad.

If you’re craving a unique hotpot experience, this spot is a must! You can customize your own sauce mix at the sauce counter, adding that perfect touch to every bite. We ordered the combo for three, featuring beef, goat, meatballs, veggies, tofu, noodles, spring rolls, and shrimp tempura: a hearty selection that’s perfect for sharing! With three delicious broths to choose from: spicy, mushroom, and tomato, there’s a flavor for everyone. The beautiful Chinese-inspired decor, complete with red lanterns and dragon accents, makes it feel like a mini escape. Highly recommend for a cozy, flavorful meal!
