The SLIM deadline is 7 September: turn training wishes into a plan first

Many businesses reach a subsidy deadline asking whether one course invoice can be claimed. SLIM-mkb addresses a broader question: how a company will organise learning and development over time. The Dutch government’s second 2026 application window for individual SMEs opened on 19 August at 09:00 and closes on 7 September at 17:00. Official examples include preparing a learning plan or introducing a method for development conversations, while Uitvoering van Beleid provides the detailed conditions, steps and application form. The government announcement names an €11 million ceiling for the April round; it does not say that figure should automatically be treated as the budget for this window. Hokimi’s advice is to work backwards from the business problem, target staff, intervention and evidence before deciding whether the project genuinely fits SLIM.
