De Utrechter fills four hours with salsa, mambo, bachata and Latin favourites; both solo visitors and groups are welcome. This is De Utrechter's third Salsa XXL after two successful editions, and the premise is deliberately bigger than a restaurant playing background music: the whole venue becomes the dance floor. DJs Maarten and Jeroen from Salsa On Sunday move through salsa, mambo, guaguancó, guaracha, guajira and romantic tracks, with occasional cha-cha and bachata. That range gives experienced dancers texture while allowing a newcomer arriving alone to join without first finding a permanent partner. With Utrecht Centraal next door, the €10 online ticket functions less like a nightclub surcharge and more like an easy doorway into the city's Latin dance community.
