Hear a string camp grow in 30 minutes

Classical music is often presented through formal halls and long programmes, yet young musicians actually grow through rehearsal, listening to one another and testing a short public performance. Jonge Strijkers holds its summer camp at Nyenrode from 3–7 August, with participants aged roughly 5–21 working in four ensembles. On 5 August from 13:00–13:30, part of that musical process enters Bibliotheek Breukelen for a free community performance. The half-hour length is friendly to small children, older listeners and anyone unsure about a first string concert. Arrive early without blocking library routes, then ask a child afterward which instrument sounded most like a speaking voice.
