About this restaurant
Kiraku has served Japanese food on The Hague’s Toussaintkade since 1992. Fresh ingredients shape a varied menu of sushi, tempura, teriyaki and warm dishes, complemented by a collection of sauces developed in-house over the years. The welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere suits a dinner for two as well as small groups who want to share sushi and cooked Japanese favourites.

The tuna or salmon salad is a must!! These salad are layered with flavour, fresh fish, fish eggs, tempura stuffed between, a light complimenting sauce, and avocado with veggies to finish it all up. Absolutely loved every bite. We also had an order of spicy tuna, California roll and salmon rolls. All 3 were served again with fresh fish which we were really happy about. The spicy tuna took the cake for us, this was the favourite of the night. All in all we had a great time here. It’s a small and cozy sport with such a lovely staff. The staff were all really courteous welcoming. I always appreciate a great host, so thank you team for providing great service.
Wonderful sushi quality, there should be 6 stars instead of 5. Worth the price and more! Also very cozy environment, and very nice service
We took the 5 courses menu and it was superb! The restaurant really gave a Japanese vibe. Really recommended if you want to have authentic Japanese food in Den Haag.
I entered in the restaurant and it smelled like Japan. I had never experienced this outside Tokyo or Kyoto. This was a good sign… The sushi, sashimi and all the dishes are the true Japanese food that you rarely find these days. We tried one of the menus and it was delicious, but too much for me. Next time will order a la carte. We finalized with the best desert ever - ice cream sushi. I’ll say no more - you need to go and try. Staff is lovely and so professional. Highly recommended!
We ordered way more than in the pictures, but we were quite hungry, so we ate it all…food was really delicious! Sushi’s were quite special and tasted really fresh. One of the few places that serve fatty tuna and uni. Prices were also decent. Service was a bit slower than I’m used too but the wait was worth it and the servers were really attentive and nice. Definitely recommend coming here!
